How the 9-factor scoring works
Each factor is scored from Schedule 2 of the Immigration Regulations. The citations below let you verify every value directly against the Gazette.
Factor 1 — Employment
Points awarded for current employment status in the Cayman Islands. A priority-occupation bonus exists but is dormant pending a court-required list publication.

Factor 2 — Education & Experience
Points for years of relevant work experience (up to 10 points) and educational qualifications under professional or skilled/unskilled tracks (up to 15 points).

Factor 3 — Local Investments
Points based on the ratio of your Cayman-domiciled investments to your five-year income. A minimum threshold of CI$50,000 applies; the maximum is reached at CI$500,000.

Factor 4 — Financial Stability
Two sub-factors: savings as a percentage of five-year income (six tiers, up to 15 points) and annual income in CI dollars (eleven brackets, up to 15 points).

Factor 5 — Community Involvement
Points for qualifying voluntary activities over an eight-year lookback window. Annual caps apply — each activity requires at least 35 documented hours per year to score.

Factor 6 — Cayman History & Culture
Points earned by answering questions in a formal test. Half a point is awarded per correct answer on a 40-question paper. The test can be rescheduled once within 30 days.

Factor 7 — Caymanian Connections
Points for blood relationships with Caymanians. The highest applicable tier is used; tiers do not stack. Caymanian spouse by marriage is not a Factor 7 route.

Factor 8 — Nationality
Points based on your nationality's share of the current work-permit population. Three tiers apply. Dual nationals are scored at the higher of their two nationality values.

Factor 9 — Age
Points awarded by age bracket at the planned application date. The 25–35 bracket earns the maximum 10 points; applicants aged 66 or over receive zero points.

What makes this different
Built specifically for the Cayman PR timeline — not a generic points tool.
Multi-year projection
Your application date may be several years away. This calculator shows your score today and projects it forward year by year so you can see exactly when you are on track to reach 110 points. No manual spreadsheet work required — enter your profile once, update it as circumstances change.
Annual-cap awareness
Factor 5 donation and community-service points are capped per year, with an eight-year lookback window. The gap analysis models the full window so you can see how many additional years of qualifying activity move your score. Starting earlier compounds — the calculator makes that visible.
Curated charity registry
26 Cayman-registered organisations sorted alphabetically and by category. Each entry is verified against the General Registry and includes contact details for volunteering and donation enquiries. Categories follow the Factor 5 activity classification so you can confirm eligibility at a glance.
