Who provides the service

Cayman Costs is operated by Convergine Corp., a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada (7030 Woodbine Avenue, Suite 500, Markham, Ontario L3R 6G2), trading as CaymanCosts. Convergine Corp. is the seller on every Cayman Costs Plus payment. Messages reach it through the contact page. Cayman Costs is not affiliated with the Cayman Islands Government, Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC), the Department of Immigration or any bank, insurer or law firm named on the site.

The free service

The calculators, guides and the free tiers of the PR points, roll-over, PR cost, stamp duty, mortgage, import duty and BOTC residence tools are available without charge and without an account, except where an account is needed to save a profile. Saving a profile requires a magic-link sign-in with an email address. Free accounts keep their saved data under the retention rules in the Privacy Notice.

Cayman Costs Plus: plans and prices

• Plus yearly: US$79 per year, renewing automatically until cancelled.
• Plus monthly: US$9 per month, renewing automatically until cancelled.
• Until I Apply: US$249 once. Plus runs until the planned application date saved in the PR profile plus 6 months, and never less than 3 years from purchase. If the planned date is moved later, the expiry moves with it at the next review.

Prices are in US dollars and include any applicable taxes at checkout. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page; that list forms part of these terms as at the date of purchase.

Payments

Payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe's hosted checkout pages. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never pass through or are stored on this site. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. Plus is switched on only after Stripe confirms the payment; a checkout that is abandoned or declined changes nothing on the account.

Refunds

• Yearly and Until I Apply payments are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase, on request by email, without a reason being required.
• Monthly payments are not refunded; cancellation stops the next charge and access continues to the end of the paid month.
• Renewal charges on the yearly plan are refundable in full within 14 days of the renewal date.
• When a refund is processed, Plus features switch off and the account returns to the free tier. Saved data is not deleted by a refund.

Cancellation

Monthly and yearly plans can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal linked in the account area. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for, and no further charges are taken. Until I Apply is a one-time purchase and has no renewal to cancel.

Early accounts

Accounts created before Plus launched have Plus switched on at no charge for 12 months from their sign-up date. The dashboard shows the exact date. Those accounts may buy a plan at any time; a purchase extends the existing period rather than replacing it.

The evidence vault

• Files are stored as private objects in a DigitalOcean Space; no public or shareable link is ever created. Only the signed-in owner of the account can download a file, after an ownership check on every request.
• Limits: 10 MB per file and 105 MB per account; PDF, JPEG, PNG and HEIC only.
• Files can be deleted one at a time from the vault, and are deleted with the account when the right of erasure is exercised. Dormant accounts are removed under the retention rule in the Privacy Notice.
• The vault is a filing aid. It is not a submission to WORC or the Board, and nothing in it is transmitted to any government body.

Alerts

Plus alerts are emails about the account holder's own profile: remaining headroom under the annual Factor 5 caps, the countdown to the planned application date, and changes to the statutes or rubric the calculators encode. Each email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Alerts are computed from saved data and published law and are informational; they are not a monitoring service and may be delayed or missed if an email is undeliverable.

Acceptable use

• One account per person; the Plus subscription covers that account and the household members added inside it, not other people's accounts.
• The History and Culture practice questions are original material and may not be copied, scraped or republished.
• Automated access that degrades the service for others is not permitted; rate limits apply to sign-in, checkout and the calculators.

Disclaimer

Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, tax or financial advice. The calculators apply the published rules of the Cayman Islands (Schedule 2 of the Immigration Regulations, the Immigration (Transition) Act, the Stamp Duty Act and the fee regulations named on each page) to the figures entered, and each value cites the instrument and the date it was last reviewed. A score at or above the points threshold means an application is eligible for consideration; the grant of permanent residence, a work permit or any other status is a decision of the Cayman Islands authorities, and no result on this site predicts it.

The site is provided as is. Reasonable care is taken to keep the encoded rules current through a quarterly statute review, and changes are versioned and announced, but the law can change between reviews. For a decision that turns on a person's own circumstances, a licensed Cayman Islands attorney is the right source; the contact page passes referral requests on.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability for any loss arising from use of the site or the Plus service is limited to the amount paid for Plus in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

Material changes are announced by email to Plus subscribers and by a notice on this page before they take effect. Continued use of Plus after the effective date is acceptance of the revised terms; a subscriber who does not accept them may cancel and, within the refund windows above, request a refund.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions, refund requests and complaints go through the contact page.
